I was saddened to learn today of the passing of city engineer Rick Henry, who died of a heart attack at home on Sunday.
Rick was 62.
He always struck me as a genuinely good guy and was always willing to talk about various city projects, even when things were not quite going according to plan (Carden Street). He will certainly be missed.
The family will accept visitors on Wednesday evening, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home's Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St.
A celebration of his life will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1 p.m.
