We sent a journalist Wednesday to an event for kids at the Guelph Civic Museum.
It was dubbed Batteries Not Included. It was to be a games morning for children and families featuring old-school type games. You know, ones that use dice and cards and not WiFi or smartphones.
I though it sounded like a neat idea and a sure bet for at least a good photo.
Oh well. We attended and waited around. But no kids showed.
Maybe it could be re-cast as an event for yesteryear hand-held or other video games to be tried out...Electronic Quarterback or Atari anyone? Merlin?
It's too bad 'batteries included' isn't the mantra of the new waste carts.
