Munsch for mayor

Posted by Scott Tracey

I'm the coolest dad in the world. Or at least my kids likely think so after the voicemail I got on the weekend from beloved children's author Robert Munsch.

While clearing my home voicemail on Saturday, I casually asked the kids to keep the noise down so I could hear my message from Robert Munsch.

My daughters gave me that tilted-head, you're-so-full-of-baloney look they do so well.
So I restarted the message and put the phone on speaker, in time for them to hear "Hello, this is a recorded message from Robert Munsch ..."

Yeah, that's right.

It turns out the message, sponsored by the Guelph Civic League, was sent out to about 20 per cent of Guelph homes on the weekend urging people to do their part and vote on Nov. 13.
But I don't see any reason why my kids have to know that.
