Awful first period by everyone, including the usually-reliable Garret Sparks, who let in three softies.
Saginaw didn't dominate this game but Guelph just couldn't get it going offensively, including missing a penalty shot (Tanner Richard) and not scoring during a full two-minute five-on-three in the third period.
Very soft game by most of the forwards. No hitting. No cycling. No sacrifice.

The word `soft` is too gentle Tony. That was a stinker. I want my $21.50 back. Good effort by Kosmachuck, but the rest of the team likely had enough energy left to jog home after the game.

Talk about a lost opportunity! Why did Coach Walker not put DaSilva in goal after the first three goals. It would have shocked the team ... especially Spsrks. It would have been a great experience for this top prospect and may have sent a message LOUD AND CLEAR to the team.If he got bombarded and let in a goal or two Sparks could have been brought back in. But from all the hipe on DaSilva I don't think he would have been a pushover. As I say, "A LOst Opportunity" to send a strong message as well as see what this kid has got!

I agree and the people I sit around thought the same. We had nothing to loose if DaSilva was put in. We were loosing,it would have givern him some experience if nothing else. The team I feel would have played better to "protect him"
