It would be nice to see the Storm finally have some success recruiting highly ranked American players.

American players who were very successfull yes but I dont think any of them had the same hype as Tuch does from the draft right on thru. Lets hope Tuch is draftes by an NHL club who sees the value of him developing further in the OHL on championship caliber team.

As long as we can draft or trade for American, European or whatever players who develop under our system, I have very little concern for those who do not wish to come here of their own volition. Go for the best you can get and forget the rest, who do not deserve of our attention or energy. Over the years we have benefited from players from various places who have contributed a great deal to the Guelph Storm’s history and welfare. We currently are watching three very fine young men perform in Storm uniforms. I would not trade any of them for a highly rated prospect who doesn’t want to play here!

I agree that we have had some impactful American kids play for the Storm. I was thinking more recently with the likes of Shattenkirk and Palmeiri to name a few.
