So, if you're interested in seeing the James Franco mini-series shot in Guelph last year, it comes to the small screen next month.
Day one -- in Canada -- is Feb. 17
Living back in Toronto, I was at a jam session last Wednesday down in the docks. lol...as they've been for many years, excellent jam, but too loud (and I'm no prude, but I like some lower volume between the peaks) and suddenly discussion turns to filming of this mini-series, and lo and behold, two of the guys had T-shirts emblazoned "11.22.63". I knew the Locations Manager, he wasn't at the jam, but was unaware two of the set dressers were there and in my immediate circle too.
Conversation turned to the set and how amazing the restaurant building was. They loved the gossip of it being sold, yada, yada, as it was automatically contracted out to be razed after filming long before it was built.
But alas, it is a shame it couldn't stay. W
When informed that I had a studio the other side of the old rubber factory building ("Get out!") the next tune we jammed was entitled "The Grassy Knoll in Guelph". It killed me.
